WHAT’S OPEN IN LAKE TAHOE AND TRUCKEE? PLANNING A SKI TRIP TO TAHOE THIS SEASON?

Planning a ski trip to Tahoe this season or just need to get away? I feel you, being cooped up is no fun, and the mountains offer stunning scenery and endless adventure to get outside and play safely. But with Lake Tahoe travel restrictions changing almost daily, it’s hard to plan ahead.

Well, I got you covered! From Lake Tahoe ski resort restrictions to North Tahoe and Truckee dining guides to information about testing, this informational resource will help you plan your next Lake Tahoe visit.

Lake Tahoe Ski Resort Restrictions

The good news Lake Tahoe ski resorts are open! The not-so-good news it’s not as easy as pulling up and purchasing a lift ticket for the day. Because skiing is a naturally physically-distanced activity, ski resorts have been allowed to remain open as long as they adhere to state regulations.

North Lake Tahoe ski resorts have implemented various ways of following COVID-19 guidelines. Make sure and check with your favorite ski resort before your trip. Many are requiring advanced reservations and have policies that continue to be updated. Explore the links here to learn how your favorite Tahoe ski resort is operating.

Lake Tahoe Dining Guides

Lake Tahoe has been through indoor dining, outdoor only, take-out only, and various other restrictions. Check your favorite restaurant’s individual website to find out what they are doing to comply with current COVID-19 restrictions. Whether it’s offering to-go deals, curbside service, family meals, or on-site patio dining, Truckee and Placer County have put together handy guides so you can easily find information about your favorite Tahoe dining establishment.

Getting Tested for COVID-19 in Tahoe Truckee

First, if you are feeling sick, please don’t come for a visit. However, if you get here and then begin feeling sick, the Tahoe Forest Hospital District has extensive resources available to those who may need to get tested for COVID-19 in Tahoe or Truckee.

So, is Lake Tahoe open? YES! And we welcome responsible visitors with open arms. Please do your part to keep us all safe, and hopefully move to a less restrictive tier, by wearing a mask, following local business’ and ski resorts’ guidelines, and staying home if you are feeling ill.

While you’re here, you might start considering investing in Lake Tahoe property. Whether you’re interested in a ski-in ski-out Tahoe condo or a luxury mountain home, Tahoe living is within your reach. Cozy up, and browse current Lake Tahoe real estate. See something you like? Get in touch and we can talk about virtual and COVID-19 safe tours. Get in touch.
