When staying or living in Truckee, you will never have a shortage of fun things to do. If you are looking for a quieter lake day, you can visit West End Beach at Donner Lake. This 12-acre beach has a playground and sand volleyball courts and is ideal for kayaking, canoeing, or paddle boarding. Locals enjoy going on long hikes to explore the surrounding mountains of Truckee. They can start their journey at Donner Lake Rim Trail Trailhead – Bermgarten, which offers about 23 miles of hiking trail.

Golfers can enjoy one of the area’s many beautiful courses offering views of mountains and valleys.
